Find the date when a webpage was published

Google tip of the day:

Finding the date when a webpage was first seen online. Let’s try the as_qdr parameter. This is the same as defining a Custom Range in the Search Tools shown between a query and its results. Here’s an example with a 15 year range:

Take note of the date: 11 Dec 2012

Now purely for fun let’s browse Wikipedia:

Police at Sandy Hook shooting

“On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza, age 20, fatally shot twenty children and six adult staff members and wounded two at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the village of Sandy Hook in the town of Newtown, Connecticut.”

Hmm… two days before the last mainstreamed mass shooting, a webpage was already online for receiving funds! Wow, you don’t get a conspiracy theory checked with every tip of the day.
